Would definitely recommend for a walk in evening
Welcoming couple, quiet annex, thoughtfully provided high-quality bottled water and complimentary cereal and fruit in a convenient lounge area enhanced our stay, while the phenomenal food in the pub itself made the experience truly memorable.
Everything was spot on.

Charming place with great vibes!
We had such a lovely time during our stay. The staff were super friendly and really helpful. The old building added so much charm! Enjoyed the cozy bar/lounge area. The only thing was that the room could’ve been a bit cleaner. But the atmosphere and service really made up for it!

Had an awesome stay with a lovely welcome and some top-notch bottled water in the King Room. The garden area was perfect for relaxing, with comfy seating and beautiful flowers. Just keep in mind that the stairs can be a bit noisy at times, but it didn't ruin our time. 👍

The stay offered a superb location for visiting friends, allowing us to walk to their home in the town. Although we had to switch rooms after the first night due to a mix-up, the manager handled the situation professionally, ensuring we felt comfortable. The quality of food, especially the pizza, was exceptional.

the bed was really comfy n clean, shower had hot water which was great, good tea and coffee supplied too. the inn is super central so we could easily explore the area. check-in was a breeze, and the restaurant looked really nice even tho we didn't eat there this time.
the mattress was kinda sunken and uncomfortable. There was some noise from the kitchen staff in the early morning.

Couple looking for a relaxing getaway
Went for a weekend trip and had a real memorable experience. The food was a standout, the beef was tender and cooked to perfection, it's a meal I'd cross town for.
It wasn't cheap, but still acceptable for what we got.

The food in the pub was top-notch, a real gem in the heart of Chagford! The welcoming couple running it added a lovely touch, making it feel like home. Plus, the bottled water and breakfast goodies were a classy touch, setting the vibes just right!
It felt a bit too much like an Airbnb with the ground floor setup and separate entrance.
